Avery Lynch Released New Video To Delicate Single ‘somebody new’

Lynch creates an atmosphere of delicate heartbreak with strains of selfless adoration woven in. The beauty of her new music video for ‘somebody new’, released 12th of September, lies in its simplicity, in the deeply touching parts and the profound resonance of it.

With her soft piano sound and romantic vocals Lynch stays true to herself and her loyal fanbase. It’s a stripped-back sound mixed with the raw emotional openness that you can expect from the singer-songwriter Lynch, leaving you wanting more of those soft piano vibes and soothing voice.

The music video, directed by Gus Black, underlines the raw song with glimpses of how it feels to love someone selflessly. It plays with the emotional depth that you can hear in Lynch’s voice and lets you watch the relationship unfold between the protagonists, with it’s highs and lows. It’s capturing the storytelling that Lynch transports in her lyric into something even more graspable, true storytelling for both eyes and ears.

You can feel the love that’s already there, the love that you only want the best for your partner, even if that means that they’ll find their happiness with someone else. The lyrics “It’s okay if one day you find someone different. (…) I know that they’re out there for you and you’d love them too” reflects this selflessness. Lynch explains that she “wrote the song from the perspective of an observer” leaving her with this role in the video.

With her latest EP As Written, Vol 2 Lynch found another style to older songs like ‘Kids Table’, underlining the lyrics with melancholic piano music. Since her debut in 2020 her music evolved, but the soft vocals and piano sound stayed the cornerstone of her sound. With millions of streams, a recently signed deal with RECORDS as well as a loyal, supportive and growing fanbase we’re excited to see what the future holds for Lynch.
