Annabel Gutherz Releases New Single 'Showtime, Baby!'

Canadian singer Annabel Gutherz has released her new single ‘Showtime, Baby!’, a song glistening with a sun-soaked sentimentality, smooth vocals and relatable lyrics.

‘Showtime, Baby!’ was released on the 16th of August, four months since her latest release ‘Shame’. Combining classic rock sounds with modern pop melodies, “Showtime, Baby!” glistens with a sun-soaked sentimentality as Annabel delves into the duality between her desire for validation and her need for genuine connection.

In a statement about the new single, Annabel elaborates: “If life is a stage, am I always performing? This is a central question in ‘Showtime, Baby!’, where I explore the tension between living authentically for myself and living to meet others’ expectations. It addresses the fray of seeking approval and belonging while striving to be truly seen and understood for who I am. Ultimately, I’ve learned that prioritizing my own feelings and experiences is essential, as it’s the only way to lead my every day with purpose and meaning and foster deep happiness.”

‘Showtime, Baby!” is a heartfelt song with strong lyrics and melodious vocals. The song sends a relatable message and it’s easy to feel a connection to the song. The instrumental parts of the song perform perfectly together with the lyrics of the song. You feel yourself wanting to soak the song in and feel all the emotions.

Annabel released her debut album Loose Ends in 2021 and has since then continued to develop her sound with esteemed producers such as Bleu McAuley and Bonnie Hayes. Loose Ends, just like ‘Showtime, Baby!’ is written with honesty and in both records, you get to see Annabel’s ability to create timeless music that shows what it means to be human.

Annabel Gutherz has more music in the works this year and from what we’ve seen from previous releases she is undoubtedly an artist that you want to keep an eye on.
