Ember Mile by Krooked Tongue

Bristol rock trio Krooked Tongue released their latest single ‘Ember Mile’ on 22 November.

This follows their September 2024 single ‘Nothing Ever Grows’, a similar alt-rock track exploring the emotional transition between worry and hope. Since this release, the UK rock trio have set foot on a number of live dates including supporting The Luka State at Bristol’s Exchange and Birmingham’s Institute 3 in November.

The Bristol trio have also previously supported Kid Brunswick on his final UK tour; as well as being featured on BBC Introducing as an Orbit artist in October 2024. Upcoming live dates includes an exciting slot at the Icebreaker Festival in Southsea this coming February.

‘Ember Mile’ is rich with strong emotion and metaphorical imagery. It discusses themes of validation within the social eye, as well as personal growth and self-acceptance. The lyricism is laced with self-awareness as well as regret over missed opportunities, strained relationships and moving past internal struggles – whether it be within songwriting or personal life.

Punchy drums from Harry Pritchard, electrifying guitar solos by Dan Smith, and catchy vocals from Oli Rainsford make up this captivating alt-rock track, drawing you in and keeps you hooked from start to end.
