Pop Wonder Izza Created Another Dance Hit Banger With Her New Single ‘Sweat’
The all-arounder Izza was set on writing “a 2000s pop hit type of song that you could dance to and feel like your best self.” She definitely managed to put her own spin on this era of Y2K pop music with ‘Sweat’, which was released on 5th of September.
Lately Izza has been gaining a lot of attention through a clever Coachella campaign, won her over 100 million views on Instagram. Now the singer, songwriter and producer released a high tempo and playful song, that will let Millennials and Gen Z have immediate flashbacks to their time at parties. She creates an atmosphere that’s filled with lust and confidence, a mentality of self-worth and pride by being your unapologetic self. The high tempo song immediately gives you flashbacks of your youth, being in a club and dancing to icons like Kesha and Britney Spears.
With the immediate jump into a fast pace beat the mood for the song is set: sensual, raw and intoxicating. The music video conveys the lust, the feeling of wanting to get close in clubs and transports the energy you feel when being intimate with a partner. Strobe lights, moving bodies and an electrifying beat will make it impossible to stand still. The new song ‘Sweat’ goes hand in hand with her earlier song ‘Flavor’ and only makes us more excited to go out in a club or stay in with our partner.
The song not just gets playful with the feelings of sexuality and lust but also brings with it the meaning of self-worth. The lyrics “I’m not for everyone but that don’t mean everyone has to have good taste, what a shame, what a waste” spreads the positive message about self-love and self-worth while having the beats of a pop banger underlining it. In conveys the importance that not everyone will like you or want to be with you, it’s on them and not your fault or problem.
With her upcoming EP Because I’m Blonde Izza shares how being a blonde woman in today’s world is often linked to stereotypes. She opens up that writing this EP has taught her “to celebrate […] blondness and use it as a strength”. We are excited to see what she got and how she’ll continue to take the pop world by storm.
